Last week I had the opportunity to meet the recruitment staff for the Supplemental Instructor Leader position. I had experienced technical difficulties with submitting my application, but the team was helpful while they replied to my emails within 24 hours. It is always encouraging to know that the staff will do everything in their power to see you achieve your goals.

College of Southern Nevada unexpectedly has been a wonderful experience for me. It was supposed to be a stepping stone to transfer smoothly into University of Las Vegas, and my main purposes were to save tuition fees, and acquire credits for my prerequisite classes. However, after attending classes at CSN for a year now, my entire perspective has changed. The instructors have great skills/abilities, and strong desire to pass down their knowledge to their students. It has several academic success programs, with I am currently taking part in. My goal is to teach college level Mathematics, and CSN plays a huge part in my life, while I further my teaching skills through tutoring. Diversity can be spotted at CSN, for there are many foreign students, and students aged up to their 50's. CSN provides equal opportunity to all students, especially through their Disability Resource Center or academic programs. CSN is also the first college in Nevada to provide immigrants the opportunity to apply for scholarships. A college that wants every student to success demonstrates the mental state of the college. Furthermore, CSN counselors have guided me to a better path, advising myself (and many other students) with a little bit of personal touch. If I could start college all over again, I would definitely want to start to College of Southern Nevada.
