Good school with great dual enrollment programs. Most professors are nice and actually love their job. There are great opportunities for students to get involved in the community as well.
I love that everything is in walking range so you can get to class easily. The areas where students can chill/study are great! The food is a little pricy but is worth it. The professor’s are amazing! The ones I have had so far want the best for their students! Overall, FCC is a great place to go if you want to start somewhere after high school. It’s pretty affordable also.
All of the professors that I had were really nice. They are empathy, understanding for your circumstances and willing to extend deadlines for you. Even though most of classes don't consider attendance seriously. But try to attend every lecture that you have, there's always new thing that you will learn. If having struggle with classes, office hour is my first recommendation. The STEM center and Writing center were supper helpful as well. If having online classes, don't hesitate to use free printer in the library. Something I would like to see is free meals more often. In general, FCC has a supportive, friendly, and diverse environment. In class, you might see students as young as dual-enrollment high school students, to a 54-year-old mom.
FCC isn’t a super fun party type school, it’s a small college with great spaces to use for quiet/study time. If your objective is to acquire a Associates degree comfortably then FCC is the place for you.
Frederick Community College was a good stepping stone. The process has been simple so far, with little reason to speak with administration.
Frederick Community College is located just outside of downtown Frederick, which is a vivacious area that includes several highly-rated restaurants, jewelry shops, and bakeries on vibrant North Market Street and beautiful Baker's Park, hosting concerts in the summer and parades and showcases in the winter. The opportunities and financial aid at FCC (Frederick Community College) make the college extremely accessible and the majority of the teaching staff and administration are courteous and helpful. One of the things that I think should be implemented at Frederick Community College is allowing homeschooled/private school students to have the same privilege of attending no-cost college courses as public school students in Frederick County have. Extended information on the Early College program would be helpful as well.
Overall I enjoy going to school and find all the things they do for students and events to be cool and interesting. My only qualms with the school has been one teacher in my major but other than that, its been a good experience.
I do like the helpfulness of the staff, especially the advisors and counselors at Frederick Community College. I would like to see a bit more activities for the students and funding towards clubs.
Frederick Community College really cares about the students. They love being one on one with their students and taking care of them. The professor wants the students to success in every subject they are just amazing with helping and building their students.
the environment is friendly and welcoming. the teachers are willing to work/understand students, they love what they do so we get the best experience.
the professors there are very nice and flexible when given a heads up when you won't be able to make it to class or for a lab. They do their best to give their students the best they can. The environment there is very friendly.
It is a very nice campus with nice professors. The advisors are very helpful and is an overall good experience.
My overall experience at FCC was a great one. I've learned a lot being here, made connections, had a lot of support in my coming and stay into Early College. There are so many helpful resources on and off campus for different majors/subjects. This school also prioritizes mental health as well as living conditions. Great first two years of college experienced.
I love fcc! I am currently taking my prerequisites at fcc and then after I’ve earned all my credits I am enrolling into their 2 year nursing program so I can earn my Associates degree! The professors and students are all kind and supportive I love being a student at Frederick Community College!
The professors at Frederick community's college are amazing! all of the teachers I have had so far have been welcoming and understanding. The actual campus it self is ok its nothing big its very small and all of the buildings are close to each other.
This school is so adaptive to student needs and dedicates efforts into making students feel safe and included.
Growing up, I had heard many bad things about community colleges which distorted my view on the Frederick Community College. During the application process, I was greeted with friendly staff who went above and beyond to answer my questions and make the process easy for me. The campus is comfortable and well-kept making it enjoyable to walk through. The classes are small, but this allows for better relationships with fellow peers and teachers. Overall, my expectations are the only thing I regret coming into Frederick Community College.
