This school is academically rigorous. The professors are all generally passionate about what they are teaching. There is a disconnect, however, between the administration and the students' needs.

RPI is widely known in engineering, and we have a very large career fair every semester that plenty of people use to make connections with companies for internships and jobs after graduation. The career center is incredibly busy around this time offering seminars on interview skills and resume building. They are a huge asset that a lot of the campus takes advantage of.

Courses are challenging and give a decent amount of work outside of class. If you get behind, you will struggle, but otherwise as long as you keep up with the work it isn't bad. The professors that I have had also seem very approachable, especially for the more intro level courses.
